Day 1: CHANDIGARH - SHIMLA

Highlights- Drive through the Shivalik Himalayas

In the morning after briefing, we will begin our Great Himalayan Bike Tour. The drive from
Chandigarh to Shimla is a beautiful journey that takes you through the lush green hills and
valleys of Himachal Pradesh. The distance between Chandigarh and Shimla is approximately
113 kilometers, and it takes around 3 to 4 hours to reach Shimla by road. The route from
Chandigarh to Shimla is well-connected and well-maintained, with smooth roads and stunning
scenery along the way. Overall, the drive from Chandigarh to Shimla is a delightful experience
that offers a glimpse into the serene and picturesque beauty of Himachal Pradesh. Overnight

Day 2: SHIMLA - RAMPUR
Distance- 121 Kms

After having breakfast in the morning, we will embark on a picturesque journey from Shimla to
Rampur Bushahr, which will take you through the stunning hills of Himachal Pradesh. Covering
a distance of approximately 121 kilometers, the drive can last between 4 to 5 hours, subject to
traffic and road conditions.The route takes you through some of the most stunning landscapes
in the region, with winding roads that offer breathtaking views of the snow-capped peaks, lush
green valleys, and gurgling rivers. Along the way, you can also stop at some of the small villages
and towns that dot the route, where you can explore the local culture, food, and traditions.
One of the highlights of the journey is the town of Rampur Bushahr, which is known for its rich
history and cultural heritage. The town is home to several ancient temples, palaces, and other
historical sites, which are a testament to its rich past.


Day 3: RAMPUR - SANGLA

The route from Rampur to Sangla takes you on a breathtaking journey through the stunning
Kinnaur district of Himachal Pradesh. The route takes you through winding mountain roads that
offer panoramic views of the Sutlej river, apple orchards, and snow-capped peaks. The journey
is around 94 kilometers long and takes about 4 hours to cover. Along the way, you will pass
through charming villages and towns, each with its unique culture and heritage. In the
afternoon after lunch a drive to village Chitkul. Chitkul is a small village located in the Kinnaur
district of Himachal Pradesh, India. It is situated on the banks of the Baspa River, at an altitude
of 3,450 meters above sea level. Chitkul is the last inhabited village near the Indo-Tibetan
border and is known for its breathtaking natural beauty and traditional architecture. Overnight

Day 4: SANGLA - TABO
Distance- 188 Kms

The Sangla to Tabo drive is a spectacular journey through the rugged terrain of the Himalayas in
India. The drive takes you through some of the most remote and scenic parts of the region,

route is known for its challenging terrain, with narrow winding roads, steep inclines, and sharp
turns, but the journey is well worth it for the incredible natural beauty and the opportunity to
explore some of the ancient and culturally rich villages such as Nako, 500-year-old mummy

Day 5: TABO - KAZA

Highlights- Tabo Monastery, Chicham Bridge, Kibber, Key Monastery

Today after visiting The Tabo Monastery we start for the drive to Kaza. The drive from Tabo to
Kaza is an incredibly scenic journey through the rugged terrain of the Spiti Valley. The road
winds through steep cliffs and towering snow-capped peaks, and alongside the glistening
waters of the Spiti River. The landscape is dotted with picturesque villages and ancient
monasteries that provide a glimpse into the rich cultural heritage of the region. Upon reaching
our destination, we will set to the magnificent Chicham Bridge, a suspension bridge connecting
two mountains over a deep gorge. From there, we will journey to the charming and picturesque
village of Kibber, which boasts a scenic landscape and a unique cultural heritage. Continuing our
adventure, we will make our way to the revered Key Monastery, a historic Buddhist monastery
nestled amidst towering mountains and surrounded by serene valleys. Finally, we will make our
way back to Kaza.


Day 6: KAZA
Distance- 50 Kms
Duration- 3 Hrs
Highlights- Hikkim, Langza, Komic

We will begin our journey early in the morning to make the most of the days adventures. Our
first stop will be the world-renowned post office located in Hikkim, which sits at an altitude of
over 15,000 feet, making it the world's highest post office. After that, we will ride to Komik, the
world's highest village accessible via a motorable road. The village is perched atop a hill and
offers breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains and valleys. Next, we will make our
way to the famous Langza, where we will be treated to spectacular vistas of the Chau Chau
Kang Nelda Peak and the Buddha Statue overlooking the valley. As the day winds down, we will
have dinner and spend the night in Kaza.


Day 7: KAZA - CHANDRA TAL
Distance- 100 Kms
Duration- 4 Hrs
Highlights- Kunzum La, Chandra Tal

We'll begin our ride towards Chandra Tal Lake after breakfast, traversing the highest point of
our trip, Kunzum La. The road leading to Chandra Tal commences from Batal, and the journey
promises to leave you spellbound. As the road concludes, you'll need to walk for a kilometer
before reaching the lake. Once there, you';ll be greeted by the stunning crescent-shaped lake
brimming with sparkling, transparent water. We'll spend the night at the campsite in Chandra
Tal.

 

Day 8: CHANDRA TAL - JISPA
Distance- 137 Kms
Duration- 5 Hrs
Highlights- Sissu, Scenic Views, Offroading

After having breakfast, we will begin our journey towards Jispa. For all the offroading
enthusiasts out there, today is the day to satisfy your love for adventure. The route from
Chandra Tal to Koksar offers an exciting offroading experience that promises to add a dash of
thrill to the journey. As you navigate the rugged terrain, you will be treated to breathtaking views
of the surrounding mountains and valleys, making it a truly unforgettable experience. So, gear
up for an exhilarating drive that is sure to get your adrenaline pumping. The route will take us
from the arid valley of Spiti to the slightly more verdant valley of Lahaul. As we drive, we will
pass through several villages and towns, including Sissu and Keylong, which are located along
the way. These settlements are known for their scenic beauty and provide an opportunity to
experience the local culture and way of life. So, get ready to soak in the natural beauty and
cultural richness of this region as we embark on this exciting journey to Ladakh.


Day 9: JISPA - TSO KAR
Distance- 225 Kms
Duration- 6 Hrs
Highlights- Sarchu, Pang, Tso Kar Lake

The drive from Jispa to Tso Kar in India is approximately 225 kilometers and takes about 6-7
hours to complete. The route typically involves driving from Jispa to Sarchu, then onto Pang and
finally to Tso Kar. The road from Jispa to Sarchu is mostly good, but can be narrow and winding
in some sections, so it is important to drive with caution. From Sarchu to Pang, the road is
mostly dirt and gravel, and the terrain is quite rugged, so a sturdy vehicle with good ground
clearance is recommended. From Pang to Tso Kar, the road improves somewhat, but it is still a
mix of dirt and gravel, with some rocky sections. The road passes through some high-altitude
mountain passes, so it is important to be prepared for the altitude and potential changes in
weather conditions. Overall, the drive from Jispa to Tso Kar can be quite challenging but also
offers stunning views of the Himalayas and the surrounding landscapes.


Day 10: TSO KAR - LEH
Distance- 153 Kms
Duration- 5 Hrs
Highlights- Changthang Plateau, Chang La Pass

The drive from Tso Kar to Leh is a scenic and memorable journey through the rugged and
mountainous terrain of the Ladakh region in northern India. The distance between Tso Kar and
Leh is approximately 153 kilometers, and the drive can take anywhere from 5 to 7 hours,
depending on the road conditions and the speed of your vehicle. The route from Tso Kar to Leh
takes you through the Changthang plateau, which is known for its vast expanses of arid desert,
high-altitude lakes, and snow-capped mountains. Along the way, you will pass through several
small villages, including Tangste and Karu, where you can stop for a break and refreshments.
The road from Tso Kar to Leh is a mix of paved and unpaved sections, with some stretches being
quite rough and bumpy. You will also need to cross several high mountain passes, including the
Chang La pass, which is the third-highest motorable pass in the world. While the drive can be
challenging at times, it is well worth the effort for the stunning scenery and unique cultural
experiences you will encounter along the way. Just be sure to stay well-hydrated to avoid
altitude sickness.


Day 11: LEH
Highlights - Leh Market , Shanti Stupa , Leh Palace

Replenish your energies with a healthy breakfast and enjoy a relaxing day in Leh. The first half
of the day is saved for a regular check-up of the bikes and the rest of the day can be spent
visiting a few sightseeing places in and around the city. Stop by the Leh Palace and enjoy the
splendid panoramic views of the Stok Kangri mountain range from the terrace. You may also
choose to visit the Shanti Stupa and the local market to indulge in some shopping and try out
the Ladakhi cuisine at the local eateries. Spend the night at the hotel.


Day 12: LEH - NUBRA VALLEY

Highlights- Khardung La, Diskit Monastery, Nubra Valley

The Leh to Nubra Valley drive is a popular tourist route in Ladakh, India. The road trip is
approximately 160 kilometers long and takes around 4-5 hours to complete, depending on the
road conditions and traffic. The journey begins in Leh, the largest town in Ladakh, which is
located at an altitude of 3,500 meters. The road winds its way through the scenic Khardung La
pass, which is one of the highest motorable roads in the world at an altitude of 5,359 meters.
From Khardung La, the road descends into the picturesque Nubra Valley, which is known for its
sand dunes, double-humped Bactrian camels, and ancient monasteries. The valley is located at
an average altitude of 3,048 meters and is surrounded by snow-capped mountains. Along the
way, there are several small villages and towns where you can stop for refreshments or to take
in the local culture. Some of the notable attractions in the area include the Diskit Monastery,
which houses a 32-meter-tall statue of Maitreya Buddha, and the Hunder Sand Dunes, where
you can take a camel ride. Overall, the Leh to Nubra Valley drive is a scenic and adventurous
journey that offers a unique glimpse into the rugged beauty of the Himalayan region.

 

Day 13: NUBRA - TURTUK & BACK TO NUBRA
Distance- 332 Kms
Duration- 10 Hrs
Highlights- Turtuk Village

After enjoying a delectable breakfast, set out on a ride towards the charming village of Turtuk.
This village serves as the final frontier in India before entering the Pakistan-controlled Gilgit-
Baltistan, and is one of the main gateways to the Siachen Glacier. Turtuk offers a unique
cultural, linguistic, and historical experience that differs from what you may have encountered
during your Ladakh trip, as it is part of the Gilgit-Baltistan region. The landscape is also
markedly different, with narrow valleys and steep mountains that contrast with the scenery of
Central Ladakh and Nubra. Additionally, Turtuk enjoys a lower altitude than Leh, resulting in
lush green pastures that yield fresh produce such as apricots and apples. Later, return to the
campsite for a hearty dinner and spend the night in comfortable camps at Nubra Valley.


Day 14: NUBRA - PANGONG 
Distance- 278 Kms
Duration- 8 Hrs
Highlights- Pangong Lake

As the morning light starts to filter through, we prepare ourselves for an exciting journey from
Nubra Valley to Pangong Lake, which adds a stunning charm to Leh. En route, we will pass by
the picturesque Shyaok Village, and take in the breathtaking views of the glistening shores of
the world&s highest saltwater lake. The tranquil blue hues of the lake will leave you spellbound,
and you will have ample opportunities to capture some stunning photographs. As the day winds
down, we will gather around a cozy bonfire to soak in some warmth and make unforgettable
memories. We have arranged for an overnight stay amidst the serene beauty of nature to ensure
that you have a peaceful and rejuvenating experience.


Day 15: PANGONG LAKE - HANLE 
Distance- 313 Kms
Duration 9 Hours
Highlights- Astronomical Observatory, Merek Village

Today is all about traversing the distance from Pangong to Hanle, an off-beat route added to
make this Leh tour package special. We will ride from Pangong to Hanle after breakfast, and
even the air will say that you have come a long way. The immaculate waters of Pangong Lake
will still be part of our journey – pegged to leave us spellbound as we ride alongside its shore.
We will cross Merek Village and then Chushul. Riding further on the Loma Bridge, we will move
towards Hanle – a beauty – including historic village that hosts the highest astronomical
observatory in the world. Not to mention, this ravishing place is one of the restricted areas in
Ladakh – open to only domestic tourists with permits. We will check in to the hotel and give in
to the comfort of a modest but cozy stay.


Day 16: HANLE - TSO MORIRI 
Distance- 160 Kms
Duration- 6 Hours
Highlights: Uming La Pass(19,300 Ft) ,Ya Ya Tso Lake, Nurpa Pass(16,100 Ft), Mahe Bridge, Tso
Moriri

Today will be a memorable day. Get ready to experience the adventure as we embark on a soul-
stirring gospel ride via one of the highest motorable passes in the world – Umling La Pass(19300
Ft) and we’ll be heading to the even-so-quaint Tso Moriri Lake. On our way, we will cross Ya Ya
Tso Lake, Nurpa Pass and Mahe Bridge. We will reach Korzok by late afternoon, after which the
time will be all yours to try and grasp the symphonies of the Tso Moriri Lake.


Day 17: TSO MORIRI - LEH 
Distance- 220 Kms
Duration- 6 Hours
Highlights: Puga Wonder Valley, Tso Kar Lake, Tanglang La Pass

Let’s have our breakfast early today and leave for our next quest. We will cross Puga, the
wonder valley that is famous for its hot sulfur spring, and we will pass by the gorgeous Tso Kar –
an emerald Salt Lake that can make anyone believe in magic. We will also come across Tanglang
La Pass (17,585 Ft) the highest motorable road on Manali Leh Highway. We will reach Leh by
the evening and give it a rest with a stay at the Hotel here.


Day 18: LEH
Bike Check up and Leisure Day at Leh.
 

Day 19: LEH - KARGIL
Distance- 216 Kms
Duration- 8 Hrs
Highlights- Magnetic Hill, Lamayuru Monastery, Mulbekh Monastery

The Leh to Kargil drive is a scenic and adventurous journey that takes you through the rugged
terrain of the Ladakh region in India. The distance between Leh and Kargil is approximately 216
kilometers and the journey can take around 6-8 hours, depending on road and weather
conditions. The route from Leh to Kargil passes through some of the most spectacular
landscapes of the Himalayas, including vast stretches of desert, and scenic valleys. The road
winds its way through the Zanskar range of the Himalayas and offers breathtaking views of
snow-capped peaks, glaciers, and deep gorges. Some of the key attractions that you can visit on
this route include the Magnetic Hill, where your car seems to roll uphill against gravity, the
Lamayuru Monastery, which is one of the oldest and largest monasteries in Ladakh, and the
Mulbekh Monastery, which is known for its ancient rock carvings. The drive can be challenging
at times due to the high altitude, narrow roads, and unpredictable weather conditions. Over
night stay at Kargil.


Day 20: KARGIL - SRINAGAR
Distance- 205 Kms
Duration- 8 Hours
Highlights-

The distance between Kargil and Srinagar is approximately 205 kilometers, and the drive can
take anywhere from 6 to 8 hours depending on the road and weather conditions. The most
common route is to take the National Highway 1D (NH-1D), also known as the Srinagar-Leh
highway. The road runs through mountainous terrain, and the journey can be quite challenging.
However, the views along the way are breathtaking, with snow-capped peaks, deep valleys, and
beautiful streams. Overnight stay at Srinagar.


Day 21: DEPARTURE DAY
In the morning, wake up and have breakfast. Following that, return your bike and check out of
the hotel. You can either freely explore the city on your own or catch a flight back to Delhi.
